Upload multiple documents with coding/metadata

You can include coding/metadata for your documents by including a load file, in your batch upload. Learn more by clicking here. Here are some tips:

  • Your load file must always be named nextpoint_load_file to make sure the processors know what to use.
  • Discovery Cloud recognizes the following load file formats: .xml, .dat, .csv, and .oll. If your load file is in a different format, use a utility to convert it, or send it to us, and we’ll get it squared away.
  • Check out a list of Important Load File Fields you will need to include.
  • If you have OCR to include with your documents, check out this link: Including OCR With An Upload
  • If you are importing a Concordance/Summation database, follow this link to learn how.

If you already have a .csv or .dat load file, make sure the header names match the field names in Discovery Cloud. If not, change them to match, or learn How to Build a .map File. A map file will guide the information in the load file fields to the appropriate fields in your Cloud. You can download the sample fields.map file at the bottom of this page.

If you don’t already have a load file, check out How To Create Your Own Load File. You can also download the sample nextpoint_load_file.csv at the bottom of this page.
